New Managers

Any updates on further appointments. Gaels, Ramor, Kingscourt, Killygarry, Gowna all with new men. McDonnell staying with Lavey and McCarthy with Crosserlough. No word on any of the remaining senior teams. Will Keogan do another u turn and stay with Castlerahan. I imagine Seanie Smith will stay on board with Mullahoran also.

Well what's the final update on new (or old) managerial appointments for 2019? I hear some senior and intermediate teams are still on the "lookout" - but its getting very late. Has anyone a complete list??? When will teams be starting to train, or has it begun Already?

Could be a set back for Crosserlough. McCarthy was going well with them. Plenty of rumors he is lined up for U20 job.

At a funeral last night and a chap told me that John Brady is the new U20 Cavan manager.

I was talking about XLough job. It's in this weeks Celt that Brady is almost a done deal for U20s.

Yes it was on the celt this week. Darragh McCarthy was also interviewed.
Any word on Crosserlough or Castlerahan appointments?

Seamus Mulholland is with Castlerahan, interesting that they are sticking with the Monaghan connection after Martin Corey.

Why did Darragh walk he was doing well with them. ?? I know his name was mentioned for the Cavan U20 position but that did not materialise. Maybe Crosserlough should ask him to stay on.

Apparently a very small fraction of their younger players wanted him out and he got word of this.

Thats a shame after all he got them to the county final a match they should have won to be honest. A penalty changed the game to be honest. If I was involved with Crosserlough I would be making loud noises to have him back. Player power is the scourge of Cavan football since Liam Austin.

If you don't know the full facts better say nothing. There was a player meeting and they were happy with him going forward. He left on good terms of his own accord. Club did not want him to leave and left the door open for him to return. Who knows what his reasons were but he definitely wanted the U20 job and if he changes his mind I'd say he'd be welcomed back.

I did not make an adverse comment but if you read back a person made a comment regarding players not wanting him. To be honest I was surprised that Darragh looked for the U20 job??
