Monaghan defenders Colin Walshe and Drew Wylie have both announced their retirements from inter-county football.
The pair helped their county capture the 2013 Ulster SFC title when they upset then All-Ireland champions Donegal in the Anglo-Celt Cup decider.
Walshe’s efforts that year earned him an All-Star award at right corner-back and full-back Wylie was also nominated for an award.
Former captain Walshe would be key to the Farney men’s next provincial title triumph two years later, while Wylie missed out on the success through injury.
Recent seasons have saw both men troubled with injuries and Monaghan GAA confirmed yesterday that they have each decided to call time on their inter-county careers.
