All-Ireland hurling medal stolen in Wexford burglary

Gardaí in Wexford are appealing for information following the theft of an All-Ireland SHC winners’ medal from 1948.

The medal was stolen along with other items from a house in Oylegate, Co, Wexford last Friday between 4pm and 7pm. The Celtic Cross was won by Daithi de Paor (David Power), who was a member of the Waterford team that defeated Dublin in the All-Ireland final. It was passed down through the Power family and is of significant personal value to them.
