This afternoon’s All-Ireland club senior football championship semi-final between Scotstown (Monaghan) and St Brigid’s (Roscommon) will go ahead as planned at Kingspan Breffni.
The Cavan venue underwent a pitch inspection at noon to determine whether or not the ground would be playable and it was confirmed afterwards that the game will be played as scheduled (3pm).
Freezing overnight conditions have caused number of this afternoon’s scheduled pre-season inter-county fixtures to be either called off or switched from original venues and throw-in times.
The winners of today’s last four clash between Scotstown and St Brigid’s will face Dingle in the All-Ireland final on January 18th following the Kerry champions' thrilling extra time victory over Ballyboden St Enda’s of Dublin at Pairc Ui Chaoimh yesterday evening.
