Cork natives aim for All-Ireland club glory

February 08, 2013
Six Cork natives will be bidding to get their hands on an All-Ireland Club JHC medal on Sunday when they line out for Manchester-based Fullen Gaels against Thomastown of Kilkenny.

James O'Shaughnessy (Dromina), Adrian Nash (Kilbrin), Eoin O'Brien, Ruairi Wedel (Blackrock), Alan Morrissey (Aghada) and Barry Hayes (Dungourney) are involved with Fullen Gaels.

"From last year, we lost a few players but equally picked up a few including Robbie Power from Waterford," O'Shaughnessy told The Corkman

"On paper, it's a tough challenge on coming up against a Kilkenny side but hopefully the experience from recent years will stand to us."

Meanwhile, O'Shaughnessy's former Dromina club colleague Martin Finn will also be on Croke Park duty with London outfit St Gabriel's who will take on Clara of Kilkenny in the intermediate hurling decider.
