Broadford claim Junior B league title

The final of the Junior B (division 5) league also took place on Saturday evening with Broadford clinching the title with a 2-19 to 1-11 defeat of Tubber. The winners dominated the first half and at half time they were leading 0-11 to 1-5 with free taker Alan McMahon on form. Tubber had their danger man in half forward Declan Ryan who got their goal five minutes from half time. The second half resumed with Cian O'Brien getting Broadford's first goal before they began to pull away and he got his second goal near the end to seal the result. After the game Clare GAA treasurer Bernard Keane (St. Joseph's Doora/Barefield) presented Broadford captain James Skehan, who was out of action due to injury, with the cup.
