I make no apologies in saying I was a proud man leaving the O Duffy terrace in Clones today.
One may ask or indeed you without knowledge may ask why such elation.
No 1 Cavans great come back
No 2 The vociferous Cavan support
No 3 The great display of fielding of Cavan players
I will refrain from stating the obvious reason for my elation and that is that I myself discovered David away back when he was an unknow to become man of the match today

Tomsmith here It is a very sad day for Cavan toady that we departed the senior football Championship last night in such a tame manner It gives me no joy to say a lump is in my throat all day and I am unable to give any interviews.I may get to the imperial later to cheer up my sick head. Iwill keep you posted on the suggestions
