I contacted Ulster GAA and no decision has been made on Venue for Semi Final. I noticed it was mentioned on RTE after the game several times that Omagh might be the Venue. That would be unfair, but has anyone heard anything! Clones is only right............
I personally thought Cavan played fantastically well on Sunday. Martin Reilly, Ciaran Galligan, Conor Moynagh, Géaroid McKiernan, Séanie Johnson and Dara McVeety were players who stood out. Midfield dominated! Massive respect to the management team, they have been proven right!
The team has been solidly strong throughout the league, and while Armagh started well, within ten minutes, Cavan were dominant in all areas. It was great to see Cavan attack at pace, players on the shoulder supporting each other. Its also fantastic to see the team have strength at central positions, particularly upfront. Certainly need more scores from half-back line, and definitely half-forward line. Donnelly, Harte, O'neill and both Cavanagh's must be watched closely. Its important we counteract there strengths. Dunne at fullback, and Clarke on Donnelly would be great!
Need to learn from Tyrone game, and how we got turned over in possession so many times. Need to get good ball, and find ways to bring Séanie Johnson, and David Givney into the game more than was the league. Givney I believe only got the ball seven times, and while a lot comes of him, he is in top form, and must be used more. Tyrone are so cynical when they lose the ball, and Cavan must be aware of this fact. With Eddie Kinsella flashing cards all day Sunday, one must be sure that a ref will act on cynical play. All to look forward too!

Yes, I thought Jason McLoughlin fed great ball to Ciaran Galligan via Conor Gilsenan's kick outs last Sunday but for them Stevie McDonnell looked dangerous when receiving long diagonal ball from Paul McGrane who also played with the Armagh minors the same day.

I think they are waiting on the results of the other matches should Donegal win it's reported that simi final with Monaghan will be played in Breiffni.
It's sure too that the Cavan Tyrone match will be in Clones, out from here I have everyone saying it's Clones so no reason to think otherwise.

They have brought a sort of chop tackle into their game now (on the arm of the ball carrier). Not sure if it's legal but it is definitely working so far. Cavan have work to do. They have a big physical advantage up front but failed to make it count in Croke Park. I would like to see Killian Clarke pushed up on Mattie Donnelly-that would be a real test of VO2Max scores

to be fair, I don't think tyrone have been any more cynical this year than other teams. They get their tactics and matchups right and they do work incredibly hard to win the ball back so we will have to match them in that dept. Just as we were expected to beat Armagh and did so will Tyrone be expected to beat us and they probably will. There have been no shocks to date in the championship. Tyrone are still probably 4 or 5 points better than us so we would need some events to conspire against them and go for us (refeering decision, fluke,injury etc). I would expect Tyrone and Monaghan to reach the Ulster final . I would hope that we could have a decent run in the qualifiers and maybe get to Croke Park too.

You really need to keep that dog under control especially in rural areas with sheep and lambs around. In urban areas it could run into traffic, cause an accident or get hurt.

Fair play S Goldrick thats a good post was expecting a bit more stick about the lose / loose statement lol. On the Cavan v Tyrone game I think it will be a very close game, Cavan are without doubt a young strong fit up and coming team. Promotion to Division 1 will give this set of Cavan players grest belief in their footballing ability. I think both Tyrone and Cavan will push on and challenge for Ulster titles in the next few years. I think both counties need to be targeting Ulster Titles then who knows how the All-Ireland series will pan out. PS.
