Divisional Teams For Cavan 2023 - West Cavan Needs One

(Oldest Posts First)

Tomsmith here

While I hate flogging a dead horse I just think with the recent results in Cavan Gaa and the contrasting results in County Kerry, where Divisional teams are flourishing I feel its time for change in Cavan.
Look at the results in Cavan one Junior team after another getting a hammering , fellows wlking of the playing field disappointed and wanting transfers away . Its no wonder that the Junior Championship is devoid of good games.
I say lets the lads from West Cavan put out amalgamated team and lets see good football

Surely a certain portion of blame must lie with the large town teams poaching these players also?

There is a few teams making up the numbers in the Senior Championship so a shake up like a West Cavan amalgamation would be interesting. The quality hasn't been great in the Championship.

I don't ever remember the Gaels poaching anybody . Anyone playing were either working or living in the parish and that entitled them to play with the Gaels.
