Best Club Grounds

(Oldest Posts First)

Hello-just a lockdown project for myself. i was just wondering what the best club grounds in the various counties are in your opinion. The main criteria for me being access, car parking, the grounds themselves, the club house or dressing room facility. Wondering what Cavan's best 5 are? Sure lets get a bit of banter going

Drumalee, killinkere, kingscourt, Bailieborough and ramor. Good pitches, good parking and decent dressing rooms and stands at all of those. Killinkere have a massive pitch and a huge leisure centre with great facilities. Basketball, squash, handball badminton. Drumalee has a great playing surface. Bailieborough has great dressing rooms and in the process of completing their clubhouse upstairs. It's going to be very impressive when finished. Pitch could be better though not bad at all. Kingscourt probably best. They have a top class setup all round. Knocbrride have a decent setup since they got both their pitches resurfaced and great parking. How about Monaghan? I was very impressed with Corduff recently but poor parking.

Always thought the Drumalee pitch cut up too much around both goal areas.

Kingscourt and Mullahoran are the 2 best facilities-wise. Don't think the floodlights in any of the other club grounds are up to their standard and that's massive for winter football.

Killinkere's setup is very good alright.

Ballymchugh's pitch has always been in excellent condition.

Kildallan have an excellent all round setup too.

Those would be my top 5.

Templeport's ground is hands down the best in Cavan.

Corlough have a good ground too but I'm not sure if they exist anymore, can someone enlighten me?

Last time I played there was 1996 in a schools match. What's it like now?

I always enjoyed playing in Ballinagh, maybe more so because I usually won down there.

Bunnoe..nice to still have that unexpected factor that is gone with all these nice surfaces. There's no holes or divets on those new surfaces that can change the trajectory of a ball or turn a lads ankle.
