Intermediate Championship

Ballyhaise defeated Swanlinbar in Breffni Park on Sunday last on a scoreline of 1-17 to 1-8. This was a very good team performance which puts Ballyhaise in the quarter finals.

Field Development

Tenders have been issued for the Capital Sports Grant funded track and lighting around Annalee Park with work planned to begin in September. Meanwhile the Park is very well maintained due to the Trojan efforts of Eamon Tierney, Michael McDonald and Peter Clancy. These men take great pride in their work and results are evident by the condition of the Park. Tommy Conaty also plans for all necessary work and organises all voluntary commitment such as strimming and painting.

Charity Match

Cancer Charity Gaelic football match - Professor Hollywood Memorial Cup - played by cancer survivors.Well done to Aiden Watters who took part in this charity match on last Saturday in Parnell Park. You may still donate €4 to this worthy charity please text MATCH to 50300.

Hurling

The U-9 and U-11s travel to Ballyjamesduff this Wednesday evening to take part in Castlerahan's Blitz games beginning at 7pm. Coaching for all age groups will be held on Saturday afternoon in Ballyhaise at 2pm.

 

Lotto Results

The numbers drawn on August 4 were 17,23,28,29 and bonus 20.The Jackpot was not won and 5 X€30 go to Francis O Neill Cloverhill, Micheal McConnell Antiduff, Adrian McKiernan Keadue, Rosemary Reilly Fairtown and seller's prize K Daly. The Jackpot is €3600 on 4 numbers and €5600 with bonus.

U-6

Training resumed on Saturday morning last after a well deserved few weeks break and continues every Saturday morning at 9.45am to 11am. New players especially welcome. Parents or anyone wishing to assist please contact lead coach Carl O Rourke or any of the Saturday morning coaches in the first instance.

U-8

Our U-8 team will travel to play in Killinkere blitz on next Saturday commencing at 10am.

U-10

Our U10's played at half time at the Ballyhaise vs. Swanlinbar Intermediate championship match in Breffni Park on Sunday afternoon against the same opposition. This was a great occasion for the players and they really enjoyed the experience. Players that played were Gavin Murtagh, Evan Crowe, Killian Crowe, Colin Colye, Luke Gilmartin, Cormac Callaghan, Leo Jennings, Sean Og Teevan, Darragh Smith and Ben Cusack.

They will also travel to play in Killinkere blitz on next Saturday commencing at 10am.

U12

The summer league continued last week with a home in Annalee Park against Ballymachugh where the visitors came away with the points.

Leaving Cert

The leaving cert results are out this week. Hope all our players got their just rewards for all the hard work.
