Camogie star Michaela Morkan has ended her 16-year senior career with Offaly.
Morkan, renowned as one of the greatest players ever to play the game, was captain when the Faithful County lifted the All-Ireland intermediate championship title in 2009, twelve months after winning the junior crown, she also became Offaly’s first-ever camogie All-Star that year.
The Shinrone clubwoman's final game for Offaly was against Down last August as she helped them secure their All-Ireland senior status for another season.
Congrats @MichaelaMorkan on a fantastic career for Offaly camogie. Our first genuine superstar yet so modest! @OffalyCamogie pic.twitter.com/AHuEE8JI8W
