Tens of thousands of Armagh fans turned out to welcome home the new All-Ireland football champions yesterday.
Kieran McGeeney's men received a rapturous reception at last night's homecoming ceremony in the BOX-IT Athletic Grounds, for which 15,000 free tickets were snapped up in 30 minutes.
"We're absolutely blown away by this. We expected something big but nothing like this," McGeeney told the ecstatic crowd.
"It has to be said, when Armagh does something, Armagh does it in style.
"It was after the Kerry game a lot of players I played with said the atmosphere in the stadium was unbelievable, that they'd never experienced anything like it.
"You surpassed it again in the final, on the way home last night, this morning and this afternoon, you have taken things to a new level for this team and for that we're entirely grateful."
There was also a large turnout at the homecoming for All-Ireland runners-up Galway in Pearse Stadium.
