McNamee eyes Leinster glory
November 23, 2006
Rhode and Offaly sharpshooter Niall McNamee believes that winning a Leinster club football championship title with your own parish would be something special.
McNamee has had a remarkable year winning SFC medals with Rhode and UCD. The stylish forward then had to face the students in last weekend's semi final and turned in a magnificent performance, now he is focused on the provincial decider.
"To win Leinster would be the icing on the cake. It is the second Leinster final in a year for many of us and hopefully this one goes better than the inter county one," said McNamee.
"We are there and we are in with a chance. We are going to prepare right. Everyone is well focused on winning it. It is great for everyone in Rhode, great for the supporters."
