Yeah and you had to go back a few pages for comments from them, there are more comments from non-utd (and pool obv) fans than utd fans. All I'm doing is trying to downplay yew-tree near hysterical exaggeration. It's hardly that hard to accept. Pool fans post on the Utd thread,, Utd fans post on the Liverpool one. There's no high-horse entitlement for either fans.

1076871 We were part of the herd who experienced 26 years without a League title. Listened to the wisdom coming from the Liverpool bootroom ad nauseum, and endured the chortling of Whelan and Dalglish in the late eighties.
Tricky would you not acknowledge that liverpool fans of a certain age (myself including) are now going through the same thing as you above?

Ah come on Wayno, sure what did I say lately? Apart from "oops" after the QPR game, which was just banter and I couldn't resist it after watching the game.

Don't know why or when the FA decided on Wembley semis. Seem to remember Gazza playing for Spurs in semi there in early 90s. Either then or in the final he scored a cracking free kick. Chelsea are expected to play Barca in CL quarters the week after the FA semi. They wanna schedule it so that Liverpool don't play on Sunday 15th, the Hillsborough anniversary and Chelsea have a few days rest before Barca game. They don't wanna wait until Benfica 2nd leg so fans can book hotels, flights etc earlier. Best option would have been to have Spurs vChelsea play Wembkey on the Friday night.. Why they didn't is probably money related. In the Olympic City you'd think they could manage aFriday night Wembley game even if it brings more congestion.

Yeah I think they said it was becasue they wouldn't want fans boozing all day before. This is never an issue with midweek games but maybe the significantly higher capacity of Wembley is a factor there.

There might be a curfew on games agreed with local residents either. Di Matteo is not a happy man though. I actually though u meant one game at 12:30, empty the stadium tthen the other game at 6! Would be funny if it was a Milan v Benfica semi. Unlikely but not impossible!

Would Liverpool fans be happy with a domestic cup double after what is looking like a disastrous league campaign?Genuine question by the way,not trying to wind anyone up.

Get in there!! Absolutely delighted with the result, now I'm not overly pleased with Perch, I don't like to see that sort play acting but we're only 2pts off CL football at the minute, have to be happy with that.

Just seen Reinas' red card on the news (went out to do the garden after the 2nd goal) James Perch should hang his head in shame hope they appeal Pepe's red

Mayoboy. Thanks for heartfelt nothing. You're quite the expert on LFC these days. Would you be able to post your thoughts on football, giving your in-depth knowledge of the game ................

Wouldn't say I'm an expert on Liverpool.. I am an expert on Manchester United..
But here's what I thought about the match:
1. The best team won. Newcastle are a very good team and with a couple more of Pardew's top signings, will challenge for a Champions League spot next season.
2. Decisions contributed to the loss for Liverpool as Simpson handballed on the line which should have been a penalty and possibly a red card and Cisse's second goal was offside.
3. Reina deserved to go for intent even though Perch should be ashamed of his dive. Although I don't like Reina, I have to say I have never seen him react like that before. To me, it's a sign of frustration more than anything.
4. I can't understand why Dirk Kuyt does not start
The decisions don't mask the fact that Liverpool are just not good enough at the moment. Some of the players are terrible. Carragher is well past his best, I'm not convinced by Enrique and Spearing is dreadful. Henderson, Adam and Downing were left out today which was a good decision by Dalglish. They were playing well last season but just are not good enough. Carroll is useless. The only players good enough to play for a Champions League chasing team are Reina, Skrtel, Agger,Gerrard and possibly Suarez. Bellamy is a good player but his fitness is a negative.
Lucas Leiva's absence has hit Liverpool hard aswell as he was their best player for the 18 months before his injury.
And I'll try not to wind ye up anymore, OK?
