Does anyone even know if Dessie has decided to come back or not? Has it come from the horses mouth? I'm afraid the dark old days are well and truly back for Westmeath football for the forseeable future. I know these lads are trying hard in training but they are miles behind the rest of Leinster. We lacked leadership Sunday and Meath won at a canter. I really hope the current minor and U21's can give us some hope for the future.

We were also mising denis plus leave the hurlers wher they only reasons they went to hurling is due to the fact we were in dev 2 affraid of the challenge in my eyes i think it was wrong what the county bord let happen there anyway. There isnt to many people that can say they have been at both matchs we would have bet louth if we had a few forwords and the game sunday would have been alot closer to. Defence doing very wel as for leadership these boys only together a month meath since september doesnt happen over night

sorry john 15 wrong on 2 counts. first we have dennis. when dessie comes back we will see dennis . frank boyle comes from a great hurling family and he is quite entitled to pursue hurling. i was at both matches and at no stage in either game had we a chance of winning

Wel mick can i ask your were you at the right two matchs because dennis wasnt playing last sunday he was taking off injured against louth did you miss that. And i was doin stats for a paper so i know westmeath could have bet louth they kicked over ten wides and lost 3 ball on the 45 yeard line resulting in 3 pints so i will stand by what i sed if we had forword would have bet louth. As for the meath man just lets say couldnt have heard it from a more reliable source thats all i can say.

twoeurocoin, looking at your spelling i'm glad you were doing the stats for the paper and not writing the actual report!

I know things look dark for ye westerners at the moment but at least ye have a few boys to return to the fold to strengthen things up... imagine being in our position, facing relegation to D4 and playing complete muck football. The westmeath boys are at least putting up some fight for such a young and inexperienced team. Mick ya might want to ease off, your pessimistic view will rub off on them young players if their reading this! Try giving a bit of actual SUPPORT (hence the word supporters)!!!

Dessie Dolan who is looking sharper than ever I thought was extremely non-commital when asked on RTE radio yesterday about what he was dong after the Club All Ireland final. Do those in the know expect to see him in a Westmeath jersey this year?

I'm not in the know when it comes to Dessie but he sounded doubtful at best.
