London midfielder Mark Gottsche is adamant that they need to move on and put the opening two games of the NFL 4 campaign behind them.

The Exiles were unlucky not to secure at least a draw against Limerick in their opening match, while they lost out to Derry by seven points last weekend.

Gottsche told the Irish Post that when the fixtures first came out, they always knew that the Derry game would be a tough one.

However, he added that they need to focus on the games ahead starting with this weekend’s clash against Wexford.

“At the start of the league, looking at the fixtures, we always knew that Derry away was going to be a tough game and it was a tough game,” said Gottsche.

“Our fitness levels are good for this time of year. We’re finishing games strongly. And once we get our running game going, we are able to break teams down.

“It is just getting that going earlier in the game and building the scores rather than trying to force the ball inside. We need to be more patient in attack.”
