Tyrone’s Kieran McGeary admits that following Sunday’s clash against Roscommon, they could be looking at the remainder of the league from different perspectives.

A win over Roscommon could be the kickstart their campaign needs, but a defeat to the Rossies and they are looking at a relegation battle, having lost their opening two matches to Kerry and Mayo.

There is a break after this weekend’s games and McGeary admitted to the Ulster Herald that they want to go into round four in a positive mood.

“If we don’t get a win this weekend, we’ll have to address the situation because what does it become? Does it become a matter of survival or does it become a matter of pushing on?,” said McGeary.

“So, there is a massive emphasis being placed on this weekend’s game because I know there is going to be a lot of ones looking for our result to see where that leaves us.

“But it’s entirely up to ourselves, there’s no excuses for Sunday past apart from a lack of drive. We went out flat-footed, but credit to Mayo, they stepped up to the mark and took the bull by the horns and it’s about time that we did the same.”
