With the Cork hurling team in a shambles theres no reason why Tipperary cant do well in the 2009 all ireland!!! we know Kilkenny will be there and if Cork dont sort themselves out its between teams like Tipp, Wexford, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and Clare to challenge the cats. Yes im a tyrone man and i play football but love the way Tipp play hurling and want them to show the country that yes they do have the potential.. any views??

To be honest i wouldn't be worried about cork if they do sort themselves out. In my opinion Tipp are the second best team in the country at the moment. Would be expecting an All-Ireland final appearance this year and on the day who knows.

i'd rather cork did sort themselves out for the good of the championship. we can still beat them anyway.

I think budlight has had a bit too much to drink when he was posting that...Tipp aren't near the 2nd top team in Munster never mind in Ireland. The Kats will walk the AI this year AGAIN with a little challenge from Waterford and maybe Claire but thats about it. Tipp dont have the players required to win an AI they are too slow and lack CLASS that the other great teams have

I'd like to remind you that tipp beat kilkenny in the league last year granted they were not nearly as strong as they were in the championship would have liked to meet them in the championship wouldn't have beaten them but would have given a better game than Waterford. Why aren't tipp the near the best team in munster lack of pace?? in the forwards no way Callinan, corbett, kelly still has pace. They backme made who maybe be classed as not the fastest are buckley and corcoran and they way corcoran read the game it usually gave him a few yards head start. Clare again maybe a dark horse this year but remember tipp beat them by 9 points in the munster final last year. I'm not seeing any reason in your logic what so ever!

it was in the semi final granted they were missing king henry but it was on april the 13th commin up to the championship team tend to play more of their big guns, so please lad give credit were credit is due tipp beat cork last year tipp hammered clare and beat galway in the league final. Played well against tipp probably the best the played all year and totally flopped against kilkenny.

You talk about form right tipp have been beaten 2 in over a year by waterford and recently by clare (tipp with a load of injuries at the moment) that's consistancy which means tipp are up there, tipp are probably the 2nd best team in munster (i'd still give waterford the edge with the expirenced players they have). With a young panel their going places. Next year should be interesting hope cork sort things out, hard to know what limerick will do if justin can sort them out the might be dangerous, clare will be dark horses seem to have added a few more players this year, waterford still have their backbone of class so still will be there or there abouts, Galway always have good players if Mcintyre can get them to gel they'll be dangerous, Antrim antrim and dublin need to could upset people wexford always have heart but badly in need of young talent comming threw, offaly really impressed me last year some great young players can only build on what they did last year.
So i'd put waterford, galway and tipp (possibly cork if they sort things out) as closest contenders to kilkenny.

Also going on last year tipp came 2nd to kilkenny in all-stars all-star nominations, gpa awards and gpa nominations....also check any bookies for 2009 championship odds there seems to be a hell of a lot of people who don't agree with you. Going on last year tipp are the 2nd best team overall the year, I've a feeling this year will be more compeditive but the way things are going with the tipp panel i think we can build on last year.

Tipperary will go far in the championship this year.. cant judge them on the league as theres a number of players out injured..

Waterford are Tipp's bogey team,yiz may sort yirselves out against them if yiz wana go far,I have a feelin Tipp would have given a better account of themselves in the AI final definitely.....no point in dwelling on that though
