Live up to your user name and offer something better than a cheap shot.... Your a fond of the ould 1 line replies!! If you look at the point we are arguing here it is that tipp has progressed. We all know that we could have won it last year but kilkenny had that little bit extra, But it is a mark of a level of progress to be able to compete with kilkenny on the big stage that is the all-ireland final.

I'm not going to read into tueday nights result (both teams may only start 8/9 of the all-ireland team) win loose or draw a measure of progress again this year will be the championship.

At the moment Tipp in my book are the AI favs. KK are withering and as of yet no other true contenders have emerged. After the league this might have changed. However a word of warning, Cork will be very dangerous this year and I think could be a very big obstacle in munster this year. Best of luck for the year lads, and with a bit of luck, and we will need it, we might meet ye in the AI championship at some stage and it would be a cracker.

"Cork will be very dangerous" agree 100% be worried when the cork crowd are low key. Waterford will be tough they a few good players comming through as have clare but they may need a few years.

Bigman although it was great to win today will help with the phycological edge and they showed heart and was needed after the dublin game, but that game today was dire by both sides you can not read into it at all kilkenny and tipp missing players but u could argue that tipps weakened team beat kilkenny's weakened team.

Results at this stage of the year don't mean much granted kilkenny will hate to have lost but won't be loosing any sleep about it. The championship is what progress will be measured on.... first step cork!!

One more thing about today backs played well especially the maher's curran and shane mcgrath brilliant in midfield. Forwards will have to up their game relied too much on kelly today.

I think it would be best not to look past Cork this year, I can definantely see them beating Tipp. Not much between the two last year and that was with all the strike stuff going on. Are Tipp progressing and going to go one further and win the AI? Question best asked after the munster final, should they be there.
