Great to see the county board have made early appointments for both age groups. Both managers will have plenty of time to run the rule over all players in the county before panels get finalised.........none of the usual, rushing trial games over xmas to get a panel together for January!!
Any rumours/thoughts on what back-room teams both men will have.

the good thing both have seen the CC and have a knowledge of the underage games over the last few years. i'd like to see the U21 and senior panels/managers work together until the FBD finishes and the NFL is about to start.

Good idea Tim bout u-21 & senior panels working closely but I'd say the u-21 boss will do his own thing! I heard Gerry McGowan's name being touted as possible selector again.
As regards the minor set-up, excellent appointment in Tommy Breheny. Vital for the county that we try and make the break through at connaght and win a title - look at roscommon since they won the connaught minor in 2006 - ripple effect throughout the county. Contesting and winning minor titles since. Have won a connaught u-21 and senior.
Tommy B will be orgainised and has a good knowledge of goings on at this age. I heard that some of this years u-16 management are getting involved with him plus John Kent & EOH (in an advisory role).
Hopefully good times lie ahead for both ages.

i heard kevin wants to take charge of the minor team as i hear they are all on weights and have there porridge every morning and are on the protein shakes aswell !!!
