By writing snivelling and insulting letters to the Irish Independent. They cant handle getting hammered so have a pop at GAA and soccer on the country.

How long do New Zealand players spend pumping iron compared to our boys? Why after 17 years of full-time professionalism with all the advantages of proper diet, gym work and foreign coaching do Irish players still have physiques more appropriate to Croke Park and Dalymount, while New Zealand players -- most noticeable in the backs -- have toned and chiselled physiques? It was difficult watching, especially coming so soon after Spain handed a lesson in how to play football to the hapless journeymen of the Republic of Ireland. Sad, also, to realise that O'Driscoll and O'Gara -- two great servants of the Irish team -- will now never achieve what would have been a crowning glory to their careers.

There does seem to be an acceptance in the media that it is ok to be completely disrespectful towards the GAA. There is a certain writer in the Indo who wrote recently that although his friends hate the GAA, he does not, because he finds it something funny to laugh at. He also referred to the Armagh players as 'Brits'. This is a national paper feeling it is appropriate to be nasty towards our national games. If anyone dared write a similar article about rugby you can be sure it would not be published.

Its a bit sickening that that the people who caused Irelands economic problem (Irish rugby supporting elites) are now being insulting about the two biggest sporting organisations in the country.

the fact of the matter is that these elites are the power in ireland and despite the fact that they are to blame for the recession and should be the ones paying for it teh government needs to keep them sweet to stay in power. IRELAND HAS BEEN CORRUPT SINCE HAUGHEY. and these people will continue to push their agendas in all areas of life until they are removed from the power base they stand on.

Rugby is overrated and as the golden generation of this Irish team comes to an end so will the interest. The amount of paper space and radio time given to rugby is unreal and boring.

Thats exactly the reason he is there, because he is a GAA man. You wont see one of Irelands No.1 Rugby fans Sean Fitzpatrick there.

How is rugby overrated. the national side is a slight bit but our provinces are amongst the top sides in europe and will certainly stay there thanks to progressive and productive youth academys and clever analyse of the transfer market

It is not a newspaper. It is a piece of used bog roll.

Bored out of my tree and you have to give the kids who seem to feed off trolling about other sports something to talk about

You will find that he was there for the very reasons you pointed out earlier, part of the cabal that bankrupted the country and to compound matters cannot come to terms with it. Try some other tack at winding up Ormond

As for the other Seanie, He would seem to be Irelands no one soccer supporter.

The Rugby crowd are known for their ill tempered outbursts, it's hardly surprising that they have put us in such a negative light in NZ. I read also that Irish Back packers are not welcome in Australia, more rugby types involved here no doubt!
