The Irish Cancer Society Colour Dash 5k.
The upcoming Colour Dash Family 5k will have special meaning for one county Offaly teenager who sadly lost her brother Leon to cancer earlier this year.
Clodagh Lowry from Ballycumber ran her first Colour Dash on her brother Leon’s birthday last year: “It was an amazing experience, and it was brilliant to be able to do it on his birthday. When we finished we got the next train home to celebrate his 44th birthday with him,” said the 17-year-old.
You can join participants like Clodagh by getting on your most colourful clothes to run, walk, bike or scoot the Colour Dash Family 5k, proudly sponsored by Aldi, on Sunday 5th July in your local area to raise vital funds for cancer patients nationwide. Return to play guidelines.
Health Questionnaire.
The Health Questionnaire only needs to be completed once, before the initial return to activity, e.g. training or games. Each individual will be required to sign a declaration at each subsequent session to confirm their health status has not changed.
eLearning Module.
We wish to draw particular attention to the eLearning module which needs to be completed by anyone entering Club facilities for training sessions/games, especially all Covid Supervisors/Club Officers, Players/Parents or Guardians of Underage Players, and Team Personnel. It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and can be accessed at any time via any PC, mobile or tablet device. Those who pass a simple quiz will be able to generate a Certificate of completion which they can print or take a screengrab of to show Covid Supervisors they are compliant for teams they are involved with before their initial return.
Run4 Pieta.
The figure raised by the 24 hour Run/Walk in Ballycumber on 6th/7th June was 5,925 euros.
The organisers wish to thank everyone who contributed to this amazing amount of money.
