HOW FAR CAN YOU GO FOR PIETA
24 hour Run/Walk to raise funds for Pieta Sunrise Appeal in Ballycumber on Saturday 6th June and Sunday 7th June 2020.
Pieta provides a free, therapeutic approach to people who are in suicidal distress and those who engage in self harm and they also aim to raise awareness around mental health, especially during this time.
Their main fund raising event was cancelled this year due to Covid 19.
The Run in Darkness and Light will start at Ballycumber GAA pitch at 12 noon on Saturday 6th June and continue for 24hours until 12 noon on Sunday on a short route through Moorock, Furry Road and Liss to return to the start.
There are 48 half hour slots available and we ask participants to book their preferred time by text to 086 8158699.
The objective is to have runners/walkers on the route continuously during the 24 hours and at all times obeying Covid 19, Coronavirus guidelines on Social and Physical Distancing.
For people living more than 5 km from Ballycumber and who wish to participate, please send a short video of your run, walk, cycle, golf or tennis game and let us know how many Kms you covered to 086 8158699.
Donations can be made on https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/runforpieta.
Cash/Cheque donations are most welcome and can be deposited in a box at the start of the Run/Walk.
Calling all Ballycumbrians, their friends, and neighbours to participate.
