All GAA team related activity is still suspended.

Rhode GAA urge all members to heed the advice from our official national agencies with respect to COVID19.

200 Club Draw – DEADLINE EXTENDED

The club 200 draw deadline for entering was set for the end of March. Obviously, with restrictions in place it has become difficult to gather all entries by that date. Many people have already paid up and we will work with others to gather payment at suitable times and in suitable circumstances.

We have decided to push out the date of the first draw indefinitely and therefore the deadline for entrants can be extended. However please note that the deadline for becoming a full member of the club is still set at 31st March.

. Entering this draw will provide you with the chance to win 1st prize €1000 & 5 chances to win €250 in each draw and there are 5 draws taking place throughout the year. That’s a total of 30 chances to win over the year.

Cycle 4 Dreams

On the 21st April 2020, former All Ireland winner, Offaly and Rhode footballer Stephen Darby and former Offaly and current Rhode footballer Paraic Sullivan, take on a five day continuous cycle in aid of the Make A Wish Foundation and Rhode GAA club.

With proceeds from the event being split 50/50, this event will bring joy and happiness to those who need it most and also help provide vital funds to ensure the growth and progression of our wonderful club.

The continuous cycle will start on Fahy hill and will mean one of the two men will be on the bike at all times for the 5 days. They will take off in 6 hour sessions on a selected route and tag the other back in once the 6 hours is up. They will work throughout the night and on their final 6 hours they will arrive back in the village together.

A gofundme page has been set up for people to donate and there will also be a website going live to spread awareness of the event and to showcase where those vital funds will be going.

Thanks to all for supporting.

Stay Safe

We hope all in our community are keeping safe and well. We urge you all to play your part in this war against the invisible virus. Please observe social distancing advice and follow guidance from government, HSE and reliable sources. There is much scaremongering and false information doing the rounds also, so be careful and use good judgement.

Look after yourself, your family and your neighbours. Especially those who are at greater risk. If you or someone you know, needs some help with getting groceries or medication, speak to members of our club and we will do our best help out.
