The Late Seamus Egan
Ferbane and Offaly lost as much loved son on Holy Thursday with the passing of Seamus' as he was known was one of the greatest characters you would ever meet around Ferbane.
In his younger days as he played for Ferbane and was also on the Bally fin College team that won a Leinster final. Seamus followed our club all his life and served as the PRO for many years.
A very proud Ferbane and Offaly man who loved everything about the Dear Old Town and The Faithful County, he was a talented poet and penned the words of the lovely song 'The Faithful County Of Offaly'.
Ferbane will miss Seamus. To his family and many friends deepest sympathy is extended. Slan MacAogain, Rest In Peace.
