Delaney, Michael

October 30, 2007
The death took place of Mr. Michael Delaney, Spruce Hill, Roscrea. He was in his late seventies and had been in failing health for sometime, never the less his passing is greatly mourned by all who knew him. He was very well known in the parish, having attended the now defunct Cloneganna National School, where his teacher was the late Mrs. Barry N.T. In his younger days he hurled with the Balllyskenach Club and it was very fitting that at his removal from Maher's funeral home on Wednesday evening to St. Cronan's church, the club provided a guard of honour with his coffin draped in the club's former colours of blue and white. Following the funeral Mass in St. Cronans Church, internment took place in the adjoining cemetery. To his cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours sincere sympathy is extended.
