The late Seamus Lawless
The death took place on Tuesday 23rd January, 2007 of Seamus Lawless of Kishavanny. In his seventies, Seamus had been in ill health for some time but he bore his illness bravely and with great courage.
He worked for thirty-five years in Aylsbury's furniture factory on the Dublin Road, Edenderry, as an upholsterer, and was a master craftsman. One the closure of Aylsbury's he worked for several years in the meat packers in Leixlip.
He was interested in all sports and in his younger days he excelled at boxing and Gaelic Football. He captained Carbury's minor football team who were beaten in the county semi-final by Suncroft in 1948.
He is survived by his brothers Ernie, Hugh and Pat, sister Mary (Ryan), sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces and many other relatives and friends to whom sympathy is extended. Burial took place to Derrinturn Cemetery.
