The late Andrew Buckley The death took place at his daughter Jacinta's residence in Kilrush, County Clare on June 20, 2006, (peacefully) of the late Andrew (Andy) Buckley formerly of Main St., Daingean. He was employed by CWO Midland Health Board, Tullamore until he retired some years ago. Deceased had a great interest in Gaelic Games in his youth and he won honours with Knockbeg College team during his time there. He also was a prominent playing member of Daingean GAA club and he won a minor medal with Daingean in the '30's. He was the beloved husband of the late Vera. He is deeply regretted by his son John, daughters Jacinta and Miriam, his sister Carmel (Cork), son-in-law, daughter-in-law, granddaughters, grandson, sister-in-law, Sr. Veronica Dobson, Brigidine Order, Texas, nephews, relatives and friends. His funeral took place after 11 o'clock mass which was celebrated by Rev. Fr Sheedy, assisted by Rev. Fr Kelly, Daingean. His funeral took place to St Mary's, Daingean Cemetery and was largely attended. Courtesy of Offaly Express 18 June 2006
