Kelly, Brendan

March 09, 2006
The late Brendan Kelly The entire town of Edenderry was shocked when the news broke of the sudden death of Brendan Kelly, J.K.L. Street. Brendan was a very well known throughout the length and breadth of County Offaly for his involvement in GAA. He played football at every grade with Edenderry and was well respected by his team-mates as a great player. Brendan was deeply committed to his own Edenderry club and held official capacities down through the years. He was a true and loyal Offaly supporter and regularly attended Offaly games, both near and far. Players and members of Edenderry GAA Club formed a guard of honour at his funeral and his Edenderry Jersey was draped over his coffin. His funeral took place to St Mary's Church and his burial tool place to St Mary's Cemetery on Sunday, 19 February, 2006. Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Josie, brothers Vin, Jackie, Niall & Paul, sisters Eileen, Muriel, mother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
