The Late John Carroll The passing to his eternal reward of John Carroll, although not unexpected evoked feelings of great sadness among the local community. His presence will be missed by all who knew him and especially by his wife and family. John was born and reared in Arraghmore, Carraig and was a playing member of the club. He won an Offaly Junior Championship medal with Carrig & Riverstown in 1971, and continued with the club until changing residence to Crinkle about 14 years ago and with his sons played with Crinkle subsequently. After Requiem Mass his remains were interred in Carraig cemetery. To his wife, daughter, sons and relatives we extend out sincere sympathy. Ar dheis lamh De go mbeidh a anam uasal.
