May 12, 2013There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1, 15, 21 & 23.
This weeks jackpot was €13,800.
Football League
The footballers dropped two points in the league when going down to Shamrocks in Mucklagh on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-08. In a hard fought game that was close all the way through, the home side pulled away in the last few minutes to claim the victory. This was definitely a game Killeigh could have won, but a frustratingly high number of errors and turnovers in possession meant a lot of the attacking play broke down, resulting in a difficulty on creating and taking scores. In spite of the defeat this game should stand to the team as they prepare for the first round of the championship this weekend. Team: A. Kinahan. N. Lynch J. Hinch N. O'Rourke. F. Gorman E. Gorman J. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to James Condron who picked up a shoulder injury in the game; as a stalwart dual player hopefully he won't be on the sidelines for too long.
Football Championship.
The footballers begin the championship this weekend with their opening fixture against Birr in Birr. At time of going to press the match was fixed for 6 p.m. Saturday evening, but was subject to change. Please see Facebook page for further details.
