Football League
Div 1 FL - Walsh Island 1-8 Tullamore 1-6
Tullamore's first outing of 2012 was their league opener last Friday night in O'Brien Park against Walsh Island. Tullamore started well putting four points on the score board in the opening 20 minutes to give them a 2 point advantage. The final ten minutes of the half however, saw Walsh Island dominate scoring 1-2 without reply to leave the half time score 1-4 to 0-4. Tullamore got right back in the game in the second half with an early goal from the boot of Mark Hayes. The second half was a close affair with both teams exchanging points before Walsh Island made the break through to win by 2 in the end. Div 3 FL - Birr 1-8 Tullamore 1-2
Tullamore Division 3 footballers travelled to Birr on Sunday last to take on the home side. Unfortunately the blues were defeated by 6 points. (match report will be on website)

Hurling League
The hurling league gets underway this weekend. Tullamore Division 1 hurlers travel to Clareen on Sunday to take on Seir Kieran at 12 noon.

Coaching Courses
The Offaly County Board will be running Coaching courses over the next 2 months for interested members. If interested please contact Paul Conlon on 087 2413893 as soon as possible. Award 1 Course as follows: Award 1 Football Youth/Adult (14 hour course over the following dates) 2nd, 3rd, 9th & 10th of March in Tullamore-25 participants max. 6 Foundation Courses, which will be run at regionally central locations based on expression of interest from clubs
