Pilkington takes charge of K/K
December 11, 2008
Johnny Pilkington has been appointed manager of the Kilcormac/Killoughey senior hurling team for 2009.
The former Birr and Offaly star succeeds John Leahy and will double up as Offaly minor hurling boss.
K/K have reached the latter stages of the last three SHCs, losing to Birr on all three occasions. One of the challenges facing the new manager is to get the better of his home club, who have just returned the legendary Pat Joe Whelehan as boss for another term.
Pilkington's selectors are Brian Leonard Snr., Noel Flynn and Eamonn O'Connor.
