Féile na nGael: Turloughmore retain crown

Turloughmore players celebrate after retaining their Féile na nGael Division 1 title with a 3-6 to 1-1 victory over Na Piarsaigh from host county Cork.
Eanna Monaghan scored 3-1 as Galway club Turloughmore retained their Féile na nGael Division 1 title with a 3-6 to 1-1 victory over Na Piarsaigh from host county Cork today.
The holders asserted their authority from the off and the result never looked in any doubt after they roared into an early 2-5 to 0-0 lead. Ross O'Sullivan pulled a goal back for Na Piarsaigh just before half-time, but they couldn't make up the deficit in the second half when Monaghan completed his hat-trick.
Brecon Kavangh played a captain's part as Offaly's Kilcormac/Killoughey defeated Valley Rovers of Cork by 1-6 to 0-6 in the Division 2 final. Dublin's Castleknock were 1-12 to 0-3 winners over Cork's Glen Rovers in the Division 3 final, while Niall Furlong's goal helped Tullamore (Offaly) to a 1-9 to 0-2 win over Clontarf (Dublin) in the Division 4 decider.
Bandon (Cork) needed extra-time to get the better of Roscommon's Four Roads by 4-8 to 3-5 in the Division 5 final, Killeagh / St Ita's (Cork) accounted for Mullinavat (Kilkenny) by 3-8 to 0-6 to win Division 6, while Ruairi Og (Antrim) beat Grenagh (Cork) in the Division 7 final.
Bennettsbridge (Kilkenny) were 0-6 to 0-4 winners over Bishopstown (Cork) in the Division 8 final, Longford Slashers defeated St Mark's (Cork) 3-3 to 1-1 in the Division 9 decider, while a brace of second half goals saw Galway's Micheal Breathnach overcome Westmeath's Southern Gaels in the Division 10 final.
In the Shield competition, Erin's Own (Cork) defeated Naas (Kildare) by 1-6 to 0-7 after extra-time to win Division 1, Inniscarra beat Bride Rovers 2-5 to 0-1 in an all-Cork Division 2 final, while Watergrasshill (Cork) edged out St James' (Wexford) to win Division 3.
The Division 4, 5, 6 and 7 titles went to Whitechurch (Cork), O'Rahilly's (Down), Ballygiblin (Cork) and Durlas Og (Thurles) respectively.
In the Camogie Cup, Eire Og (Cork) defeated Sarsfields (Cork) by 0-5 to 0-2 to win Division 1. Clonakilty (Cork) won Division 2, Ardrahan (Galway) Division 3, Moycarkey (Tipperary) Division 4, Ballyhea / Milford (Cork) Division 5 and Four Roads (Roscommon) Division 6.
