Junior A Hurling Championship Round 4

Clodiagh Gaels 0-8 Gracefield 1-12. Hard luck to the lads who fought hard but it was a good solid display from Gracefield that got them over the line to progress the quarter final.

Senior B Hurling Championship Round 5

Clodiagh Gaels 2-20 Brosna Gaels 2-11. Another solid display puts another two points on the board for the Gaels. The Gaels got out of the blocks the quickest with points from Liam Langton, Conor Langton, Cathal Brady and a number of frees through Dwayne Dunne. We took control heading into the second quarter when Dwayne Dunne fired home a goal from a Gavin Sheil knockdown. Brosna Gaels started a mini revival through Offaly senior hurler Tom Spain where he scored several frees. In the second half Brosna Gaels kept chipping away at the lead by being awarded a penalty in which Tom Spain drove to the back of the net. In the mean time Liam Langton and Dwayne Dunne kept our score topped up. Tom Spain drilled a 30-meter free to the net with 10 minutes remaining to make it a nervy finish but points from Dwayne Dunne, David Buckley and Liam Langton put us out of reach and Liam Langton fired a late goal to put the result beyond doubt.
