After all the depressing news of our county hurlers and footballers, how are the club teams going to shape up in year ahead? Senior league. Blaney have made a good start but a lot of improvement needed this year , Ballybay good start, did they peak last year. Scotstown good win at weekend how are they shaping up. But what is Clontibrets story. Are they just waiting for the championship, will Magheracloone have a say this year. Were Latton lucky last year and can they prove otherwise this year
Intermediate league. Doohamlet hammering Cremartin, will they go straight back to junior? Will Doohamlet walk it this year. Toome beating Donaghmoyne in shock result of weekend? Do Tyholland have one last kick in them to win something this year. Were Corduff one year wonders, will Aughnamullen start showing the potential they have
Junior league. Will Drumhowan bounce straight back up? Did Clones peak last year? Will Killaney be a surprise package? A lot of pressure on Emyvale, will they cope? Aghabog will they have a say this year?
A lot of questions. Anyone got any opinions?

Drumhowen loosing their first two games is a shock . Not the Emyvale game but the Blackhill game.

very very early to start predicting whos gonna win championships and leagues. clones will not worry one bit about losing there first two games either will corduff. championship time is wen these teams will really kick of and the weaker teams will be left behind such as the killaneys killevan and tommes

Intermediate league very interesting. Corduff and Inniskeen seem to be in trouble, which is very surprising. Doohamlet look to be the team to beat. Donaghmoyne showing well after shocking start against Toome. Doohamlet for the double perhaps

I'm very surprised with the form of Corduff and Inniskeen. I've heard Keith McEneaney is going to the states for the summer and if that rumour is true Corduff would struggle without their best forward. Inniskeen : I wouldn't read too much into their form right now....they started badly 2 years ago and ended up winning intermediate league title. Doohamlet have Colin Walsh out til August with a broken ankle, but that's been balanced by Paul McArdle returning after 3 years in Canada. McArdle has recently started training with the county squad. Aughnamullen have started well but are without Sean Sheridan for most of the year with a broken leg and hearing Pete Dooney to go to the states for the summer which would be a big blow for Aughnamullen. Can't see them sustaining their current form.
the next 2 weeks will tell a lot - Doohamlet will meet Tyholland and Donaghmoyne and I think the 2 intermediate titles will be between these three.

The senior league: was looking at Truagh v scotstown.....truagh pullled it out of the fire, although im neutral they deserved to win it....Scotstown are a joke altogether, dunno who thier managers are but they look like they havnt a coach in the club...with their underage history how them players havnt developed is a mystery
They look like a club with the oldest setup....ive rarely seen players playin with as little enjoyment, their forward movement is poor.
Looking at Currin they look like a team that could just stay up

i agree with Realism.that Currin team will stay up.was talking to Harps man last friday and he said they were blessed to get a draw at home against Currin.i was told they were well improved and thay are.we managed to scrape a 1 point victory after Currin kicked numerous wides and had a clear point waved wide,Carrick would have been happy with the draw,i think the Currin players annoyed the ref by complaining all throught the game.Carrick are winning and should make top 4 but Currin have been the best team ive seen yet and they still have young McCarron to return.young Smith looks top class.they have a young but small squad.best of luck to them.

Bladecx I think it is obvious from your post you are a Currin man and not a Carrick man. Also Currin will battle hard all year but they will go down.

not a chance currin will stay up. clerkin kicks long aimless ball in to the forwrds and they have to fight for every ball. they will run teams close but wont get the results. its between carrick harps and maybe truagh for the other relegation place. ballybay have made a strong league start again this year. can they keep it going all the way through the season and into the championship??

Wrong Mick.ive seen alot of Currin over the last year as we played them 3 times last season.thay are much improved from last season and mccarron is out injured.they only seemed to have 3 subs on sunday and that maybe there down fall.but i am well impressed with them.Francie thats a brave call regarding Carrick, team in form and could be safe from relegation allready.

What is anyones opinion on the Senior League so far with almost half of the games played. All leagues seem very tight which is good to see.
