Junior Semi Finals

(Oldest Posts First)

Why was Orams pitch not looked at early today in time so that the blackhill v toome game could hv been changed to Blayney or elsewhere..

Disappointing for both clubs that wud hv prepared for today.

Sure very disappointing for both clubs, I,m sure it wouldn't happen a senior semifinal , it's shows what d county board think of a junior semifinal. We all no what happen oram field when it rain, it's not d first time it flooded this year.

And such a waste of energy and time for both teams involved. Had to travel, warm up, etc and then game called off less than a quarter of an hour before kick off

I would be fuming if I was involved with either club. No harm to Oram but it is just not the place for a cship semi final anyway. As another poster said it just shows what the co board thinks of junior football. These lads have worked their socks off as much as any senior club and deserve better .Also I see the final is fixed for Drumhowan......why? That final should be in Clontibret/Aughnamullen or even blayney . Again you wouldn't see any of the bigger clubs playing a cship final in Drumhowan .Rant over!

Is it not obvious why it's in Drumhowan given their representation on the county board. Even more laughable is bringing an intermediate championship semi final between Donaghmoyne and Inniskeen to Scotstown, if ever we needed reminding who where calling the shots these are two fine examples.

Jeez lads steady on... reason match in Scotstown is it only ground with separate enclosure to prevent another re run of what happened last time teams met... also Oram are entitled to host a match like every club so it's not that Co Board thinks nothing of Junior ... quite the opposite....

Would you stop......sure if Dmoyne and inniskeen are going to go at it on the pitch the subs can still get over the fence. Nonsense....that is no reason to take those 2 teams to Scotstown. And as for your argument on Oram that is also rubbish. Those 2 teams deserve a decent pitch on their biggest day of the year so far. If Oram deserve it why not play a few senior cship games on it????? We both know the answer to that one.Again their pitch is just not good/big enough and has always had problems with rain

Surely the county board will change the final venue, could you imagine Clontibret v Scotstown being placed in Drumhown.. No chance. It doesn't matter if it's junior, intermediate or senior, all players put in the same effort and shud b treated equally..

Shorter time for Sean Mc Dermotts who had to play a league game yesterday
