Club Championship v All Ireland Ladies Final

(Oldest Posts First)

So our good olde Co Board have decided to play the SFC Club Champ double header in Clones the same day as our Ladies play in Croke Park...an absolute disgrace...but doesn't surprise me one bit....so unfair, our whole county should be behind our Ladies on their big day out....

Good luck to the ladies in their final. Hope they win it. I wouldn't go near it though.

Saturday in Clones at 3.30 and 5 would be ok would it not. They played them one other year in Aughnamullen on the Sat to suit everyone to go to Croker and support the Ladies. Would be a disgrace if they not changed and very bad looking on county board.

Why not play one game at 7.30 in Inniskeen on Saturday and the same on Sunday? Charge €5 per game instead of €10 for double header.

It would be a real shame for a brilliant year to be ruined by this silly issue.

Double header in Grattan Park the saturday evening, first game at 5-30pm second at 7-00pm,simple.

What a year it would be if our ladies could win the All Ireland, they deserve our support and everyone deserves a chance to see all these 3 games on that weekend.

So do the right thing County Board...........MOVE THE SEMI'S.

So 1 game is on the sat and 1 game on the Sunday ?? Mind boggling from the county board that they can't play the double header on the sat !
Was talking to a county board member earlier and his reason was because of the hurling replay , ?? This is the same county board who shafted our own hurlers afew years back , now they are arranging club games around a hurling match ?? And a Monaghan county team in an all Ireland final !
I'll stay be in croke park with my 2 daughters and won't go to either semi final and all Monaghan Gaels should do the same !
Boycott the semi finals and I urge everyone to make an extra effort to get out and support the girls .

Can someone tell have either Scotstown or Ballybay requested this game for Sunday or is this soely a county board decision? If this county board made this then shame on you. What are you trying to achieve. Are you jealous of the Ladies team. For the sake of the GAA supporters of Monaghan do the right thing and change your minds and put it on Saturday as a double header.

If they're going to have the game at 12.45 on Sunday on the insane premise that you could still get to Croke Park in time afterwards. Why not have the game at 12 noon and at least make going to to the Ladies final a possibility.
