Davitts 1-10 Kiltimagh 0-09 Good hard-fought game as always between these two. The first half was very tight with only 3 scores in the first 20 minutes. Kiltimagh led by a point at the break (0-05 0-04) only to concede a really poor goal within 30 seconds of the second-half starting. Still they recovered and led again. It started to boil over in the last 10 minutes and there was as much action off the ball as on it. Davitts just about kept their heads better and went in front as Kiltimagh made some rash decisions in both attack and defence. Davitts reeled off a couple of late points to make it look comfortable as Kiltimagh looked to get back into it. Finally in the last minute Mr. Corcoran flashed the red to a Davitts player for a petty off the ball punch. It boiled over again after the final whistle when after most players had shaken hands an started to leave the field the same Davitts player who was sent off came back for more but thankfully no more red cards were shown and it fizzled out tamely. Davitts will be delighted with the win as they are now massive favourites to top the group. Kiltimagh will be disappointed but they can take some positves from this game. They need to keep the heads cool when it gets fiery and make the right decisions with ball in hand. You would still fancy Kiltimagh to qualify with their final two games in Gilmartin Park.

Do they play a sweeper? No. Do they drop everyone behind the ball when they lose it? No. They play six forwards and they kick pass quite a lot of ball compared to many County teams. So come on, don't be talking rubbish. It was a tight game and Davitts just came out on top simple as. There was no "puke" football from either side.

For most of the game Kiltimagh played with 3 forwards from their attacking 45 inwards. Their half forward line was around midfield and half back line but did get forward on breaks. Kiltmagh conceded 39 frees compared to davits 16 which is a lot in 60 minutes of football. alot of these were conceded by their forwards stopping Davitts from building. In my opinion, as a netual at the game, i felt Kiltimagh played negitave puke football. I dont mind if you dont agree, thats football, but thats my opinion

Clubman, i somehow doubt you ever played football in your life. With all the stats you've given, i wonder how you saw the match at all if you were writing everything down. To even write on paper today was a miracle, with the rain and wind coming right across the field at the spectators. As for the match, i thought it was a very good Inter Chpshp encounter, some great scores, some wonderful football, some terrible stuff. The ref made a proper hames of things, not the 1st time either. I went to the 1st half of the Claremorris game yesterday and the 2nd half of the Garrymore game. The C/morris game was woeful, worst i've ever seen at this level, also a "SHAME" to have played it, with an ex all ireland club winner being brought to the church to repose, god rest you Mickey Maloney. The Garrymore match was played in ideal conditions, big crowd, sadly Garrymore just didn't have a match winner and a big mistake by the mgt to leave Varley up front for the full game, it played into Cross's hands, but Cross are very beatable and it also convinced a lot of people that Gardner's county days, are well and truly over. The match in Ballindine today in terrible conditions, was a better game by far than either of the other 2. The ref was responsible, in part, for the fracas that happened towards the end. Anyway, i didn't see any blood, so i guess the old beer has healed the wounds at this stage. Oh, the entry fee of €10, was, i feel, very fair for championship football

Dandy, I was there not as a football fan but in a offical capacity. As for the "loads" of stats i mentioned...I mentioned 1 stat (the free count, which was part of the remit of why I was there) the rest was opinion. And for your infomation, not that it is relavant, I have played for 3 clubs, county and also province but not in this or last decade im afraid!

The 3 clubs scenario answers it all. With the stuff you're spouting out, it's no wonder you had to "move on" 3 times. Don't come back telling us it was because of "Official duties".

Now Dandy, I dont know what got under your skin or what has annoyed you, but you really are a funny little boy. Your making assumptions about people you know nothing about. We all have to work! If your getting this excited about comments I have made about your team in a Intermediate match, god knows what you would be like if you were playing with the men in Senior!! But I think we both dont need to worry about that happening any time soon Now run along little boy and polish that O Meara cup as I think thats all your intermediate club have won lately. kids these days!!

Was at the Achill vs Moy Davitts match, conditons were perfect couldnt have asked for better weather! Achill arent great, Moy Davitts played them off the field. Moy Davitts could cause an upset in the inter-championship!

Girls..calm down!!!!
I don't agree with all of clubmans comments or anyone else's but everyone has the right to have an opinion and instead trying to get at someones credability, maybe you should stick to the facts of the game and just comment on your opinion and leave it at that.
That is all

Group 1 Swinford v Kilmaine Swinford Bonniconlon v Burrishoole Burrishoole
Group 2 Hollymount-Carramore v Davitts Davitts, game of the weekend in the inter Kiltimagh v Killala Kiltimagh
Group 3 Kilcommon v Belmullet Kilcommon Kilmeena v Mayo Gaels Kilmeena What a poor group, compared to group 2. Think that any of the teams in group 2 would fancy their chances of qualifying from this group
Group 4 Ballyhaunis v Bohola Moy-Davitts Ballyhaunis Achill v Parke-Keelouges-Crimlin Parke

Depends.if two teams are level it goes to head to head.if three or more teams are level it goes to scoring difference.
