Club manager/predictions 2016

(Oldest Posts First)

Any new managers for the 2016 season.
Belmullet will stick to Nigel Reape for an 2nd season.
Ballina will stick to Paul McStay.
Killala have new man in the sideline in former Mayo player Anthony McGarry.
Cill Chomain and Kiltane are both on lookout for new manager.

Didn't know McGarry was taking over in Killala, that's an interesting one.

Does anybody know the latest on the other clubs around looking for managers and who's available? Could be a bit of a merry go around. Crossmolina sticking with the same outfit as last year?

Is it true that clubs are paying €100 to €200 per training session and the same on the day of a match, +travelling expenses? Then the coach/manager is showing the expenses side of things to the appropriate authority, eg, revenue. Going on these figures some coach's are taking home anything between €500 to €1000 per week, cash in hand. Makes a mockery of the whole association and let people not say it isn't happening. Time for all this xxx to be brought out into the open and stopped, now.

Ballintubber and Breaffy are still on the look-out for a new manager. 2 big big jobs with huge expectations for whoever takes over these 2 teams.

Rumour around Roscommon is that J.Horan is in talks with St. Brigids. Any germ of truth in that?

Senior Championship: Castlebar. They are getting stronger and better.

Senior Relegation: Ballyhaunis. If not this year I expect Ballyhaunis to be back playing Intermedaite in the near future

Intermedaite: Belmullet. Very open championship with Hollymount/Carramore out of the equation. Big year for Kilmaine as they were top favourite last year. The Neale and Moy Davitts in the mix.

Intermedaite Relegation: Hard to call Bonniconlon hanging in every year and have lost some key men in recent years.

Junior: Louisburgh. Big disappointed from the last 2years for the West Mayo men.
Ardnaree like Hollymount/Carramore showed that Junior football is open. Cill Chomain will be Junior Champion within 3years and Killala in the mix.

So Pete Warren have left Kilmaine after 1year!
Kilmaine miss the boat last year for Intermedaite title only for losing to Belmullet at home which they taken for granted.
Norman O'Brien is very experienced especially in South Mayo haven't been Kilmaine before, Ballinrobe 2spell and I think he was trainer with The Neale.
