Frank Lynch

Frank Lynch had a good story in last weeks Democrat about how he got fit with a cayenne pepper poltos to captain the Geraldine's to win the Christy Bellew against the Finbarrs in 1966. A three weeks solution to a cruciate problem. Nowadays we hear of lads being out for the year.

Frank must have lots of great stories from Sam Maguire to Louth manager and Chairman ,the Geraldine's and everything in between. He should write a book.

He was the baby of that great 1957 Louth team. He was only 18 or 19 when he won an All Ireland.

Mattock beat the Gers in the final of 61, He lay down and cried after the game, not being critical but that's how much it meant to him!

Managed the Louth team in 1991 when Stef scored that late late winner for us!

MR that was one the great days for the Wee County. It is hard to believe that was a quarter of a century ago. 1991 was a missed opportunity of getting to a Leinster final.

Lollie outsmarted the great Micko that day. He was the spirit of Louth for half a century. Probably still is.
