Replying To Past hurler:  "That was the best game of football I seen in Louth this year!

Very entertaining second half, both teams went at it hammer and thongs playing attacking football!

Mochtas the better team overall, senior football in 2019 for the Louth Village men!

Casey Byrnes injury looked bad, hope he makes a fast recovery!"
No thongs in view, fortunately.

Hammer and tongs, indeed.

Ciaran has announced hes finished with Aussie rules and is coming home.

I'm sure the Carlton fans will be sad to see him go as he played most games when he was fit.

they are coming off a very bad season where he missed nearly all the games through injury and hardly won any.

A great statement by Ciaran "Casey" Byrne as he announces his retirement from Aussie Rules. The draw of Ireland and Louth and his beloved St. Mochta's proved stronger than the attractions of Carlton and Australia. Louth GAA will be delighted that he is home to stay and we wish him well in the years to come and hope that his ankle recovers completely. Congrats as well to the Mochta's on their Intermediate win and all the best in the Senior grade.

Great game with both teams really going at it. Mochtas done very well to recover after going behind after leading by 7. They kicked the last 2 pointe to win it.
From chatting to a few lads on the bank the view was that they had a goal in the first half that wasn't given. Also the Fechins goal looked to be a square ball IMO.
Nasty looking injury to Casey Byrne but hopefully he makes a speedy recovery.
Mochtas got the job done regardless and best of luck to them in Senior.

Any word on how Casey is progressing. Good luck to him. Can't wait to see him in red.
