It was a fantastic day yesterday but I would worry about our minors hurlers in the replay.....We were well beaten yesterday everywhere except on the scoreboard....I couldn't understand the lack of changes particularly in the half back line where our 2 wing backs struggled manfully to get into the game....I know young flanagan was eventually called ashore but alot of damge done by then.....decision to go for goal when 2 points down mid way in 1st half was not a good one...several times we got caught out hitting short passes to a team mate that went astray....second to the ball in alot of cases... It was hard to know if the atmosphere helped or hindered them during the actual game,(I suspect it did lift them, once they got to within 3 points, towards the end)....I hope some lessons have been learnt and lets also acknowledge a very good Waterford team. Luinmeach abu

Well done to the minors on a super comeback to force a replay against a very strong Waterford side! Waterford will be hard to beat the next day but Limerick will now have the belief that they can take on this very strong Waterford side! Best of luck in the replay lads!!!

The winners of the replay will go straight through to an Ireland semi final, which would surely be a double header with the seniors on Aug 18th. They will play Galway or Laois, so there is a possibility of a senior / minor double match v Galway. If we lose the Munster final replay, we will play Antrim in an All Ireland quarter final on 27th/28th July, and the winners would play Kilkenny in an All Ireland semi final, again a double header possible with the seniors... Great times ahead!!!

oldfullforward I hope they don't fix the minor and senior different sundays if we get there , they did it to Waterford a few years back minor on week seniors the week after lets hope they don't do the same to us, with respect to antrim (if we loose tues) wel be in a semi final regardless

Not to be putting a downer on it but from what i saw last sunday they will be up against it the next day, that waterford team were awesome the last day with some exceptional hurlers and really should have finished us off earlier.of course that doesn't mean it will be the same the next day and i hope the Limk minors up their game and face them head on.Best of luck to the minor hurlers.

From what I can gather big position changes and changes to first 15 for tuesday night

Austin Gleason at centre back bossed it too much a fine palyer will done the senior Waterford jersey nest year even I would say !! Also curran at corner forward needs to be watched did damage last week

Hope there won't be too many changes. Flanagan and o Donovan who were taken off the last day were big contributors to semifinal win. Also think morrissey is one of our best forwards but he seems to contribute so much (like dowling)when introduced as a sub. It v hard with young lads Dempsey also starred against tipp but never got going in final. I think the final will bring us on more than W ford don't forget they had 3 games before final and we had only one. So would urge caution when it comes to changes.

i heard theres a couple of new additions too the panel again even at this late stage, surely not good for the guys thats in there all along, i know its crucial too have the best 24 hurlers in the county togged but surely they should have them well an truely nailed down by now

noopinion (Clare) - Posts:138 - 20/07/2013 19:46:00   1436636

i dont know too be honest, maybe there is no truth, it was a man from the well told me there have been 2 new players added too the panel, i suppose if there preforming with there clubs then its justified

jamie porter is named as a sub with richie english taking up his position at corner back and stephen cahill coming in at full back...ronan lynch is starting at centre back with tom morrissey coming in to the first 15 and starting at full foward...stephen power has also been replaced on the panel by conor laffan due to a broken collar bone and cian hedderman being named sub goalie in place of eoin mc.
