Can anyone give me an update of the manor v ballyshannon match. heard the manor boys are doing leitrim proud in the ulster league. who were the scorers and what did they score. who was the man of the match?

Manors under 16s were playin Sean o Heslins and won with a huge scoreline. Manors seniors won again last saturday when they beat Aodh Ruadh 3.09 to 4.05. All results are on ulster gaa website. I heard Gary Hickey was brilliabt scoring 2.03 and getting the winning goal at the end of the game. Their new transfer scored 4 or 5 points. He looks like the find of the year!!! Carrick and other teams better beware!!! Manor in ulster semi final now!!! Hopefully leitrim hurling may get some recognition!!!! keep up the good work Manor.

I was talking to a guy from manor he said the final score was 3-11 to 4-7 to manor. heard it was a hard fought game.

All i can say is its great to be a leitrim hurling follower now. a leitrim team in an ulster semi-final . wat a great achievement. are leitrim people gonna come support manor in the semi-final . i think its owed to the lads for such great efforts in getting leitrim hurling on the map. WELL DONE LADS!!!!!

The Ulster Hurling league has been a great success which is now in its fifth year and has shown is popularity by having 69 teams out of a possible 88 in Ulster playing. I think that the extra competition will help Hurling in Glencar/Manorhamilton and could possibly lead to other Leitrim clubs entering the League, which i'm sure the Ulster Council would have no problem with.

The Ulster League has provided Glencar/Manor with competitve games which they really need if they are to de throne St. Marys of Carrick. The club are county football champions 2years running now but its great to see young lads and girls around the town with their hurls and sliotars. They are top of division 5A in the Ulster League and look good enough to go through to division 4 which is a massive achievement to the hard work thats being done in the club. Well done to everyone involved. The die hard hurlers of Micheal Dolan, Steve Feeney, Michael McKeon, Gary Hickey and Cathal Phibbs are doing the business with the help of some serious young talent like James O Brien, Kyle Doyle, James Rooney, Niall McLoughlin and the Clerkin brothers coming through. Keep it going lads.

if manor are doin so well how is it that they cant send up more then one player to help the county team?? cause from what i see leitrim aren't doin anything this year! the worst in a long time!

i can answer your question their as a senior citizen of leitrim hurling. leitrim dont want manor lads because its the carrick manager thats over it. micheal dolan , steve feeney and gary hickey should be on the team. and im gonna say this because i have confidence in this lad after seeing him play against woodfield gaels but kyle doyle would knock clement cuniffe off the centre forward role anyday. a 21 year old with way more skill and fitness should be brought into the leitrim team for next year and aswell as having an all-ireland nicky rackard medal aswell. any lads on this giving out about manor should really take a look at carrick/leitrim hurling manager and ask why kyle, micheal, steve and gary arent on the team. its a disgrace. time for a neutral manager and someone good enough for the job.

id lyk to say as manors new centre forward dat i tink manor will be da team to beat dis yr.. i dnt tink carrick will av wat it takes to win da championship dis yr .. playin wit manor is brill as dey work for each odr.. and regards county team is it even worth goin for wen u get treated very bad by the leitrim manager. i tink me nd lads frm manor will agree wen we get respect we will go for the county .. !!!!!

wel im not sure about the manager stopping players playing for their county! why would he do that?? he doesnt even have a full pannel! 18 players at their last game!

buffintown. all i hear around manorhamilton is that the manor lads go to training and are performing well but they never get playing on the team. as you said if their good enough then they should be playing but they dont get playing.

i avnt went for leitrim yet bcuz i hear manor dnt get treated properly .. im gna wait to be called up for da team and until dn im not goin near it ...

well sligo hurler 89 i think everybody gets respect at leitrims county team and its manors own fault for not sending up more hurlers to aid leitrims call! they could easy have 10 good players up at the county!!

Regarding Snnoky - Galway - Maybe you mean Gloom??? How are things gloom here in leitrim??? G/Manorhamilton seem to be the only team in Leitrim making any effort to develop and promote hurling in the county. Clement is a class act alright but without him St. Marys and Leitrim would never win or get a result.

To comment on the county set up - it seem a joke that the county panel has only one player from Manor and there players - 8or 9 who are not from the county. How on earth can this develop hurling in our county??? How can this behaviour make it attractive for young lads from leitrim to make the effort to play if there are Dublin or clare hurlers walking onto the team???? And by the loojks of it they not doing too much. Leitrim are officially bottom of the pile. The manager has a lot to answer for.
Manorhamilton have the right attitude by developing their underage teams. Lets hope they make the break through this year.

My advice would be to concentrate on winning the ulster league and winning that elusive county championship. That would be everyones wish in the county to knock St. Marys from their 12 in a row which is not good for hurling in this county.H opefully a whole new management will be put in place next year at county level as its pretty obvious that they are going no where even with all these outsiders from Dublin etc...
