Following Kilkenny's exit from the All-Ireland SHC last weekend, attention now turns to the club scene once again.

However, club players have to wait another three weeks before they will see competitive action as the senior and intermediate league/championships won't resume until the weekend of August 11th/12th.

Limerick put paid to Kilkenny's run for another year in what can only be described as a classic encounter meaning that the club scene could resume earlier than expected.

The reason for the Kilkenny CCC not bringing club games forward is believed to be the fact that players have holidays booked over the coming weeks.

The senior/intermediate league/championship began all the way back in April and club players have had a lengthy wait until the return date.
