Why wait around for the Kilkenny Club Championship when you can take part in the West Coast Sevens in San Diego?!

That was the reasoning behind hurlers from the Erin's Own club jetting off to California and beating the Celtic Cowboys from Austin Texas in last weekend's Senior Final played at the superb USA Olympic Training Center at Chula Vista.

'It's a bit of adjustment for the Irish skin!', says Michael Murphy, 'but we're happy we came. The standard is high and the set-up is brilliant. I'd highly recommend it to other clubs'.
