Mc geeney will probably name the same starting team v offaly but that wont be the same starting team.
Expect a couple of changes does anybody know or heard how hugh lynch is doing?
Great to see rob kelly another option for midfield.
Kildare also didnt have peter kelly/conway/earley last year v meath.

1. Connolly
2. McGrillen
3. Foley
4. Kelly
5. Lyons
6. O'Flaherty
7. Bolton
8. Flynn (Is he fit?)
9. O'Neill
10. Doyle
11. O'Flaherty
12. Callaghan (If fit)
13. Kavanagh
14. O'Connor
15. Conway (Brought out as playmaker)

Strong 15 and you've Smith, Kelly, Fogarty, Early, Fitzpatrick Flanagan and White there if needs be.

Agree with your team but looks like Callaghan won't be playing so I'd put R.Kelly in midfield and swap O'Neill into Callaghan's place.

Kildare seem to have a very settled team

Pity for Meath we have such injuries

We had our fair share of injuries over the last 3 years. Cruciate ligament injuries for Conway, Earley, Lynch, O'Connor and Kelly. The first 2 missed almost 2 years of football and showed great bravery to get back. It affects all teams at different times.

I really doubt Callaghan will be fit for this game. Even if he is we shouldn't rush him back because we will need him for the later stages of the Championship

Michael Collins will be worth 3 or 4 points to Kildare. He has a history of going against Meath (it must be bad feeling going back to those All Irelands between Cork and Meath from 1987-1990) He gave at least 4 soft frees to Kildare in the league match this year which Kildare eventually won by a point.

Well I thought myself the league match wasnt as tight as many are making out. Kildare were on top until the really two soft goals that got meath back into it.
Looking forward to match. I think the Tyrone game will be a benefit to us. We closed out that game in the last 10 or so. Still think if its tight enough kildare have enough to pull away in the last 10...fingers crossed. Hmm and kildare fans are always the ones seemingly moaning or whinging about referees!?

kingofclubs i don't agree with what you are saying...............but if what you are saying does come to pass then those 3 or 4 points will be meaningless really as they will only be adding to the 5 or 6 points kildare would /will be winning by anyway...............in short, kildare will will win by 8 to 10 points rather than 5 to 6 points.

Kildare probably will beat Meath with a few points to spare but that is not the point of my post. Collins should not be appointed to ref a match involving Meath with his record.

King of clubs..
Why was a meath referee put in charge of the leinster semi final last year involving a kildare team that had beating Meath two weeks previous out of the Leinster championship.
Why was a meath man put in charge of the All Ireland quarter v Donegal we had just beaten Meath once again to knock them out of the All Irelande series.
Cormac Reilly mistake v Dublin
Goldrick v Donegal etc
Sure if thats the case why put a Meath man in charge involving kildare their record isnt that great when kildare are involved??

Good point lilywhite. I bet you would not like to see either of those refs taking charge of games involving Kildare this year !!

Actually king of jacks coldrick is alright he normally wouldnt make that much of an error I just dont think he was in the right place to make the call over tomas o connor he was a least 50 yards out and overuled the umpire wrongly but at least the squareball rule been amended this year might reduce these errors.
..cormac reilly on the other hand I think pat spillane highlighted on the sunday game another 'mistake' or wrong decision after the kildrare v dublin semi he made the week after did he referee the match were wexford got knocked out of the championship by limerick last year maybe im mistaken.Suppose they are human but some decision ref's make baffles me.consistency is worse but look hopefully there wont be as many controversial ones made this year.

Its not a 100% if he will be fit for the match but he came through full training on thursday night which isnt a bad sign. He might play some part v meath.
