Round Towers 2-7 1-16 Celbridge
Sarsfields 0-9 1-9 Moorefield.

Towers never really got going in the game. Pa Brophy played excellent scoring most the Celbridge points.
Moorefield and Sarsfield was a tough match but Moorefield just prevailed.

Towers 2-6 celbridge 1-16...towers had about 10 one on ones with the keeper including a penalty which was saved. keeper kept them in it until they got on top
with brophy keegan and oflynn taking control. towers should've taken points instead of testing keeper and would've won. celbridge finished with the team that probobly should've started...towers will rest all the contenders in this division

Kilcock and Athy drew. Heard it was a great game, both teams wont read much into it I wouldn't think, as its only early yet.

toweres hit the post twice for goal chances and missed peno, pady brophy best on field scored alot of pts, gerry keegan very good also, game could have gone either way until niall kenny goaled for celbridge about 10 mins from end. celbridge not unbeatable,

Brophy and O'Flynn rarely missed against towers, every chance they got the ball went over the bar. Towers were good but didn't take chances. Points were the difference.

Nobody said celbridge were unbeatable the three main lads keep pullin them out of holes just as what happened last week against maynooth. A big well done to towers deserved. Good win for clane. Leixlip going well in div 2 against a strong balyna team that I thought would beat them handy enough, good players in that Leixlip team. Kill going well with two wins from 2

Was at the Kilcock v Athy game and it was a great game!
Athy were 7 points ahead at half time after a very poor first half by Kilcock.
But in the second half Kilcock dominated and played some great football, they only let Athy score one point in the second half and it was a free kick!

Kilcock 2-6 Athy 2-6

Enjoyable game between Towers and Celbridge yesterday and yes Celbridge's County players were the difference, Heeney, Brophy, O'flynn and Keegan showed their class. Celbridge have a big panel again this year and maybe have not found their best fifteen yet. Niall Kenny (younger brother of County Hurler Conor) got the crucial goal that seemed to deflate Towers. I agree with previous posts that Towers concentration on creating goal chances instead of taking their points was a crucial factor in the final result, but this is a very young Towers team and will only get better. Look at the hiding they gave to Moorefield last week..

Niall Kenny is a good player when I saw him at u15 and u14 but are celbridge what they were last year?..it's a real open league this year 5 or 6 teams capable of winning cant wait for championship. Any ideas on div 2 always good standard in the league as half teams go up to div 1 for championship Leixlip and kill top balyna very good team despite loss to Leixlip raheens also a good team do they have vec wing back Dempsey?

Clane are 2 from 2 and that has to be respected although they r getting little mention.minor is wide open and even if we are one of the favourites it could be any one of 6 teams that could win championship, roll on summer!!
