Regardless of what happens with the tier 2 competition now or in the future the county footballers should be aiming to get promoted first and foremost. At the moment we probably aren't good enough to be promoted but that doesn't mean that we can't get promoted. I don't see the point of being promoted unless the team/panel is strong enough to stay up otherwise it is yo yoing between divisions. It will be interesting to see the team and the panel that davy puts together for the league and championship and who commits. There is an opportunity there for players to make a name for themselves in the months ahead.

Anyone see the Dublin vs Wicklow challenge match tonight in Roundwood? I saw the first half and we did well. I think there was only a couple of points in it at HT. Cant see anything on social media about it....

I see we have two more adult teams in the Junior hurling league this year, Western Gaels and Knockananna. Best of luck to them. I can remember many other clubs that had hurling teams years ago, that have now lapsed. Off the top of my head:

Avoca
Shillelagh
Enniskerry
Kilmac
Newcastle
Valleymount
Dunlavin
Annacurra
Fergal Ogs

Im sure there are more....

What headlines are you talking about. Only information that's been shared has come from rathnew gaa twitter page and I have seen many people disputing that. I was looking to see if anyone here had an understanding of what happened. Thanks though...

I didn't mention any club or any incident in particular, maybe the fact you assumed that was the club proves a point? no?

I'm not getting at any incident that happened yesterday in particular, just making a point that certain clubs always seem to be involved when major incidents in Wicklow happen
